Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Anderson Cubs (Anderson, CA), 55-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Yreka upgrades its record to 11-16 on the season. The Miners travel to Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA) to play the Falcons in a Northern bout on Friday, February 9. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 2-25. Central Valley lost 79-37 in their recent league bout against Lassen (Susanville, CA)

Next up, the Cubs play the University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA) in a Northern bout, on Friday, February 9. Anderson will attempt to upgrade on its 7-19 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 19-8 record after their 86-55 league win over West Valley (Cottonwood, CA).
