Alaska High School Basketball - Gustavus can't hold off Angoon

The Angoon Eagles basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Gustavus Foxes to 50 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Skagway for a 1A Southeast contest on Saturday, February 10. Angoon will battle a Panthers team coming off a 66-16 league win over Gustavus (Gustavus, AK). The Panthers record now stands at 5-3.
The Foxes (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Hoonah (Hoonah, AK). The Braves enter the non-league contest with a 3-13 record. In their last contest, Hoonah nudged Thorne Bay (Thorne Bay, AK), 29-24, in a league contest.
