The Christ the King Cathedral Golden Lions basketball team (Lubbock, TX), was overwhelmed 76-36 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Ascension Academy Cardinals (Amarillo, TX)
The Cardinals now possess a 16-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southcrest Christian for a TAPPS 2A District 1 battle on Friday, February 9. Ascension Academy will confront a team coming off a 62-35 league loss to All Saints Episcopal School (Lubbock, TX). The record now stands at 16-10.
The Golden Lions (19-14) will now prepare for their battle against Abilene Christian (Abilene, TX). The Panthers come into the TAPPS 2A District 1 battle with a 19-21 record. In their last battle, Abilene Christian trounced Kingdom Prep Academy (Lubbock, TX), 81-42, in a league battle.
