North Carolina High School Basketball - Madison nipped by Avery County

The Avery County Vikings tipped the host Madison Patriots basketball team by a final score of 67-63 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a 1A/2A Western Highlands game, on Friday, February 9. Avery County will attempt to move on its 8-13 season record. The Warhorses enter the game with a 5-14 record after their 74-64 league loss to NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC).
