The Brenham Cubs basketball team scored 41 points and held the host College Station Cougars to 34 in the Cubs league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cubs now sport a 23-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Magnolia for a 5A Region III District 21 contest on Friday, February 9. Brenham will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 66-58 league loss to Magnolia West (Magnolia, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-17.
The Cougars (18-9) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX). The Lions enter the 5A Region III District 21 contest with a 24-8 record. In their last contest, Lake Creek nudged Rudder (Bryan, TX), 60-53, in a league contest.
