The V.R. Eaton Eagles (Fort Worth, TX) basketball nipped the host Byron Nelson Bobcat (Trophy Club, TX), 30-27 in Tuesday's league test.

The Eagles (22-7) will now prepare for their test against Keller (Keller, TX). The Indians go into the 6A Region I District 4 test with a 24-5 record. In their last test, Keller got by Timber Creek (Fort Worth, TX), 78-47, in a league test.

The Bobcat now own a 17-13 record. They play next when they host Fossil Ridge for a 6A Region I District 4 test on Friday, February 9. Byron Nelson will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 45-39 league loss to Southlake Carroll (Southlake, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 15-13.
