Georgia High School Basketball - Carver succumbs to Monroe

February 6, 2024: Albany, GA 31701

The Monroe Golden Tornadoes topped the visiting Carver Tigers basketball team by a final score of 67-53 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Golden Tornadoes face the Columbus Blue Devils (Columbus, GA) in a AAA Region 1 game, on Friday, February 9. Monroe will attempt to move on its 18-5 season record. The Blue Devils enter the game with a 16-8 record after their 58-40 league win over Crisp County (Cordele, GA).

With the defeat, Carver moves to 19-3 on the year. The Tigers host Dougherty (Albany, GA) to face the Trojans in a AAA Region 1 game on Friday, February 9. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 17-7. Dougherty won 53-49 in their recent league game against Thomasville (Thomasville, GA)
