Easton Bears (Easton, ME) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Central Aroostook Panthers (Mars Hill, ME), 66-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Easton upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Bears host Ashland (Ashland, ME) to play the Hornets in a D North bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 6-11. Ashland lost 69-35 in their recent non-league bout against Madawaska (Madawaska, ME)
