North Hopkins Panthers (Sulphur Springs, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Como-Pickton Eagles (Como, TX), 67-23 in a league bout.

With the win, North Hopkins upgrades its record to 23-6 on the season. The Panthers host Cumby (Cumby, TX) to play the Trojans in a 2A Region II District 15 bout on Friday, February 9. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 9-16. Cumby won 70-52 in their recent league bout against Fruitvale (Fruitvale, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Alba-Golden Panthers (Alba, TX) in a 2A Region II District 15 bout, on Friday, February 9. Como-Pickton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-25 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 11-11 record after their 60-44 league win over Cooper (Cooper, TX).
