Cooter Wildcats (Cooter, MO) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Southland Rebels (Cardwell, MO), 72-60 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cooter upgrades its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Zalma (Zalma, MO) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 8. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 2-5.

Next up, the Rebels play the Holcomb Hornets (Holcomb, MO) in a Tri-County - Southeast bout, on Thursday, February 8. Southland will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 5-15 record after their 54-37 league loss to Clarkton (Clarkton, MO).
