The Melvindale Cardinals basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Crestwood Chargers to 46 in the Cardinals league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thurston for a Western Wayne contest on Friday, February 9. Melvindale will battle a Eagles team coming off a 71-36 league win over Annapolis (Dearborn Heights, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 10-10.

The Chargers (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Annapolis (Dearborn Heights, MI). The Cougars enter the Western Wayne contest with a 2-16 record. In their last contest, Annapolis was nudged by Thurston (Redford, MI), 71-36, in a league contest.
