The Prince Edward County Eagles basketball team (Farmville, VA), was toppled 75-67 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA)

The Dukes now possess a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Buckingham for a James River battle on Wednesday, February 7. Cumberland will confront a Knights team coming off a 64-58 league loss to Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA). The Knights record now stands at 14-5.

The Eagles (2-15) will now prepare for their battle against Nottoway (Nottoway, VA). The Cougars come into the James River battle with a 6-11 record. In their last battle, Nottoway beat Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA), 47-41, in a league battle.
