The Danvers Falcons (Danvers, MA) basketball nipped the visiting Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA), 49-42 in Tuesday's league test.

The Falcons (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Saugus (Saugus, MA). The Sachems go into the Northeastern - Small test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Saugus was tipped by Dracut (Dracut, MA), 66-49, in a non-league test.

The Vikings now own a 3-13 record. They play next when they host Swampscott for a Northeastern - Small test on Friday, February 9. Winthrop will encounter a Big Blue squad coming off a 60-49 non-league win over Lynn Classical (Lynn, MA). The Big Blue record now stands at 10-5.
