Service Cougars (Anchorage, AK) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Eagle River Wolves (Eagle River, AK), 64-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Service upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK) to play the Thunderbirds in a 4A Cook Inlet bout on Friday, February 9. The Thunderbirds come into the bout with a record of 14-1. Bettye Davis East Anchorage won 59-39 in their recent league bout against Dimond (Anchorage, AK)

Next up, the Wolves play the Bartlett Golden Bears (Anchorage, AK) in a 4A Cook Inlet game, on Friday, February 9. Eagle River will attempt to move on its 2-14 season record. The Golden Bears enter the game with a 7-9 record after their 65-57 league loss to West Anchorage (Anchorage, AK).
