The East Longmeadow Spartans basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Minnechaug Regional Falcons to 34 in the Spartans league victory on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Belchertown for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 8. East Longmeadow will battle a Orioles team coming off a 78-61 non-league loss to Agawam (Agawam, MA). The Orioles record now stands at 8-9.

The Falcons (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Pittsfield (Pittsfield, MA). The Generals come into the non-league contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, Pittsfield triumphed over West Springfield (West Springfield, MA), 81-52, in a league contest.
