The Fairfield Mules (Fairfield, IL) basketball felled the host Hamilton County Foxes (McLeansboro, IL), 49-40 in Tuesday's league test.
The Mules (17-10) will now prepare for their test against Edwards County (Albion, IL). The Lions go into the Black Diamond - East test with a 10-14 record. In their last test, Edwards County was beaten by Flora (Flora, IL), 40-27, in a league test.
