California High School Basketball - Saratoga thwarted by Fremont

The Saratoga Falcons basketball team (Saratoga, CA), was toppled 48-35 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA)

The Firebirds now possess a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Homestead for a Santa Clara Valley - El Camino battle on Thursday, February 8. Fremont will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 62-34 league win over Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-14.

The Falcons (10-12) will now prepare for their battle against Monta Vista (Cupertino, CA). The Matadors come into the Santa Clara Valley - El Camino battle with a 10-12 record. In their last battle, Monta Vista was toppled by Lynbrook (San Jose, CA), 53-39, in a league battle.
