Oregon High School Basketball - Vernonia can't hold off Gaston

The Gaston Greyhounds basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Vernonia Loggers to 55 in the Greyhounds league victory on Tuesday.
The Greyhounds now sport a 16-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Knappa for a 2A Northwest contest on Thursday, February 8. Gaston will battle a Loggers team coming off a 48-33 league win over Nestucca (Cloverdale, OR). The Loggers record now stands at 13-12.
The Loggers (3-17) will now prepare for their contest against Faith Bible Christian (Aloha, OR). The come into the contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Faith Bible Christian was nudged by Portland Christian (Portland, OR), 79-54, in a league contest.
