Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley will attempt to better on its 17-9 season record. The Mustangs come into the battle with a 10-15 record after their 52-40 league loss to Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL).

The Panthers (10-14) will now prepare for their battle against Flanagan-Cornell (Flanagan, IL). The Falcons come into the Heart of Illinois battle with a 15-12 record. In their last battle, Flanagan-Cornell dropped by Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL), 67-27, in a league battle.
