Godwin Eagles (Richmond, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host J.R. Tucker Tigers (Henrico, VA), 65-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Godwin upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Eagles host Freeman (Richmond, VA) to play the Mavericks in a Colonial bout on Friday, February 9. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 8-11. Freeman won 70-33 in their recent league bout against Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Hermitage Panthers (Richmond, VA) in a Colonial bout, on Friday, February 9. J.R. Tucker will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 61-39 league win over Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA).
