Gold Beach Panthers (Gold Beach, OR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Reedsport (Reedsport, OR), 43-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Gold Beach upgrades its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to East Linn Christian Academy (Lebanon, OR) to play the Eagles in a 2A Valley Coast bout on Friday, February 9. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 19-4. East Linn Christian Academy won 65-33 in their recent league bout against Monroe (Monroe, OR)

Next up, the play the Oakridge Warriors (Oakridge, OR) in a 2A Valley Coast bout, on Friday, February 9. Reedsport will attempt to upgrade on its 5-17 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 5-18 record after their 77-41 league loss to Lowell (Lowell, OR).
