The Guthrie Jaguars (Guthrie, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Motley County Matadors (Matador, TX), 63-40 in Tuesday's league test.

The Jaguars (9-18) will now prepare for their test against Patton Springs (Afton, TX). The Rangers go into the 1A Region I District 5 test with a 7-16 record. In their last test, Patton Springs was trounced by Spur (Spur, TX), 53-34, in a league test.

The Matadors now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Jayton for a 1A Region I District 5 test on Friday, February 9. Motley County will encounter a Jaybirds squad coming off a 91-25 league win over Paducah (Paducah, TX). The Jaybirds record now stands at 28-3.
