The Hawthorne Christian Defenders basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Harrison Blue Tide to 55 in the Defenders non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Defenders now sport a 6-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hawthorne for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 8. Hawthorne Christian will battle a Bears team coming off a 57-42 non-league win over Bogota (Bogota, NJ). The Bears record now stands at 10-8.
The Blue Tide (2-16) will now prepare for their match against Saddle Brook (Saddle Brook, NJ). The Falcons enter the non-league match with a 1-18 record. In their last match, Saddle Brook lost by Butler (Butler, NJ), 47-32, in a non-league match.
