The Western Plains/Healy basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Heartland Christian Crusaders to 30 in the league victory on Tuesday.
The now sport a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dighton for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Western Plains/Healy will battle a Hornets team coming off a 59-33 non-league win over Wichita County (Leoti, KS). The Hornets record now stands at 16-1.
The Crusaders (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Western Plains (Ransom, KS). The Bobcats come into the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Western Plains was routed by Wheatland-Grinnell (Grainfield, KS), 46-40, in a non-league contest.
