The Holmdel Hornets basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Monmouth Regional Falcons to 45 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Hornets now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Manalapan for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 8. Holmdel will battle a Braves team coming off a 67-55 non-league win over Toms River East (Toms River, NJ). The Braves record now stands at 14-6.
The Falcons (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Wall Township (Wall, NJ). The Crimson Knights enter the non-league contest with a 9-10 record. In their last contest, Wall Township ran past Liberty (Jackson, NJ), 60-44, in a non-league contest.
