The Holton Wildcats basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Jefferson West Tigers to 40 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hiawatha for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Holton will battle a Red Hawks team coming off a 45-40 non-league win over Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] (Wathena, KS). The Red Hawks record now stands at 6-9.
The Tigers (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Royal Valley (Hoyt, KS). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 2-12 record. In their last contest, Royal Valley was defeated by Perry-Lecompton (Perry, KS), 66-34, in a non-league contest.
