Hudson Hornets (Lufkin, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Palestine Wildcats (Palestine, TX), 49-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Hudson upgrades its record to 27-4 on the season. The Hornets travel to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX) to play the Fightin' Indians in a 4A Region III District 18 bout on Friday, February 9. The Fightin' Indians go into the bout with a record of 11-15. Jacksonville won 65-48 in their recent league bout against Madisonville (Madisonville, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Bullard Panthers (Bullard, TX) in a 4A Region III District 18 bout, on Friday, February 9. Palestine will attempt to upgrade on its 17-8 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 19-13 record after their 73-59 league loss to Rusk (Rusk, TX).
