The Webster City Lynx held off the host Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets basketball team by a tally of 54-53 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Lynx now possess a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clear Lake for a North Central battle on Friday, February 9. Webster City will battle a Lions team coming off a 80-67 league win over Humboldt (Humboldt, IA). The Lions record now stands at 18-0.

The Cadets (5-15) will now prepare for their battle against Humboldt (Humboldt, IA). The Wildcats come into the North Central battle with a 15-4 record. In their last battle, Humboldt was nudged by Clear Lake (Clear Lake, IA), 80-67, in a league battle.
