The Jasper Bulldogs basketball team (Jasper, TX), was nudged 56-49 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears (Orange, TX)

The Bears now sport a 10-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Orange-Stark for a 4A Region III District 19 battle on Friday, February 9. Little Cypress-Mauriceville will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 112-57 league loss to Silsbee (Silsbee, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-10.

The Bulldogs (5-16) will now prepare for their battle against Bridge City (Bridge City, TX). The Cardinals come into the 4A Region III District 19 battle with a 22-11 record. In their last battle, Bridge City edged Lumberton (Lumberton, TX), 52-36, in a league battle.
