The Jena Giants basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Marksville Tigers to 56 in the Giants league triumph on Tuesday.
The Giants now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Buckeye for a 3A District 2 contest on Friday, February 9. Jena will battle a Panthers team coming off a 35-32 league loss to Bunkie (Bunkie, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 26-2.
The Tigers (16-15) will now prepare for their contest against Bunkie (Bunkie, LA). The Panthers enter the 3A District 2 contest with a 9-11 record. In their last contest, Bunkie nudged Buckeye (Buckeye, LA), 35-32, in a league contest.
