Texas High School Basketball - Malakoff knocked off by Kemp

The Kemp Yellowjackets basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Malakoff Tigers to 47 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Tuesday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 9-22 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blooming Grove for a 3A Region III District 18 contest on Friday, February 9. Kemp will meet a Lions team coming off a 59-20 league loss to Palmer (Palmer, TX). The Lions record now stands at 8-12.
The Tigers (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX). The Wildcats enter the 3A Region III District 18 contest with a 20-5 record. In their last contest, Scurry-Rosser ran past Rice (Rice, TX), 87-26, in a league contest.
