Missouri High School Basketball - Lafayette County thwarts Lexington

The Lafayette County Huskers (Higginsville, MO) basketball knocked off the host Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, MO), 70-57 in Tuesday's league test.

The Huskers (22-1) will now prepare for their test against Carrollton (Carrollton, MO). The Trojans go into the Missouri River Valley - East test with a 7-12 record. In their last test, Carrollton notched a victory over Sweet Springs (Sweet Springs, MO), 54-41, in a non-league test.

The Minutemen now own a 14-7 record. They play next when they host Holden for a Missouri River Valley - East test on Thursday, February 8. Lexington will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 74-37 league loss to Richmond (Richmond, MO). The Eagles record now stands at 4-18.
