Lake City Tigers (Lake City, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pine Island Panthers (Pine Island, MN), 78-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Lake City upgrades its record to 18-4 on the season. The Tigers host Zumbrota-Mazeppa (Zumbrota, MN) to clash with the Cougars in a AA Section 1 bout on Friday, February 9. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 15-9. Zumbrota-Mazeppa won 62-41 in their recent league bout against Lourdes (Rochester, MN)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Goodhue Wildcats (Goodhue, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Pine Island will attempt to upgrade on its 9-14 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 11-12 record after their 64-51 non-league loss to Byron (Byron, MN).
