North Carolina High School Basketball - Pinecrest routs Lee County

In Tuesday's league outing, the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC), by a margin of 79-52.

The Patriots (10-8) will now prepare for their outing against Scotland (Laurinburg, NC). The Fighting Scots go into the 3A/4A Sandhills outing with a 8-13 record. In their last outing, Scotland was trounced by Union Pines (Cameron, NC), 60-55, in a league outing.

The Yellow Jackets now own a 6-14 record. They play next when they host Richmond for a 3A/4A Sandhills outing on Friday, February 9. Lee County will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 102-64 league win over Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 17-5.
