In Tuesday's league outing, the Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC) basketball squad edged the host West Davidson Dragons (Lexington, NC), by a count of 44-42.
The Yellowjackets (12-8) will now prepare for their outing against Salisbury (Salisbury, NC). The Hornets go into the 1A/2A Central Carolina outing with a 19-3 record. In their last outing, Salisbury held off East Davidson (Thomasville, NC), 94-55, in a league outing.
The Dragons now hold a 7-14 record. They play next when they host North Rowan for a 1A/2A Central Carolina outing on Friday, February 9. West Davidson will clash with a Cavaliers squad coming off a 88-47 non-league win over Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 11-9.
