The Opelousas Tigers basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Livonia Wildcats to 26 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 15-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cecilia for a 4A District 5 contest on Friday, February 9. Opelousas will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 53-51 league loss to Beau Chene (Arnaudville, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-11.
The Wildcats (14-12) will now prepare for their contest against Plaquemine (Plaquemine, LA). The Green Devils enter the non-league contest with a 18-9 record. In their last contest, Plaquemine ran past Belaire (Baton Rouge, LA), 49-33, in a league contest.
