South Hunterdon Eagles (Lambertville, NJ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Manville Mustangs (Manville, NJ), 49-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, South Hunterdon upgrades its record to 8-11 on the campaign. The Eagles host Voorhees (Glen Gardner, NJ) to play the Vikings in a Skyland - Valley bout on Thursday, February 8. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 7-14. Voorhees lost 72-39 in their recent non-league bout against Montgomery (Skillman, NJ)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers (Bridgewater, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Manville will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 9-14 record after their 59-52 league loss to Phillipsburg (Phillipsburg, NJ).
