The Mayfield Trojans basketball team (Las Cruces, NM), was overwhelmed 85-50 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Organ Mountain Knights (Las Cruces, NM)
The Knights now possess a 19-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gadsden for a 5A District 3 battle on Friday, February 9. Organ Mountain will confront a Panthers team coming off a 71-55 league loss to Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM). The Panthers record now stands at 6-13.
The Trojans (5-15) will now prepare for their battle against Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM). The Bulldawgs come into the 5A District 3 battle with a 10-10 record. In their last battle, Las Cruces trounced Centennial (Las Cruces, NM), 61-53, in a league battle.
