MCC Crescents (Morton Grove, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Universal Stars (Bridgeview, IL), 46-34 in a league bout.

With the win, MCC upgrades its record to 16-8 on the season. The Crescents travel to Mooseheart (Mooseheart, IL) to play the Red Ramblers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Red Ramblers go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Mooseheart lost 74-47 in their recent non-league bout against College Prep of America (Lombard, IL)

Next up, the Stars play the Hinsdale Adventist Academy Hurricanes (Hinsdale, IL) in a Metro Prep bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Universal will attempt to upgrade on its 5-16 season record. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a 0-11 record after their 72-29 league loss to Unity Christian Academy (South Holland, IL).
