The McCollum Cowboys basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Southside Cardinals to 47 in the Cowboys league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cowboys now sport a 5-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South San Antonio for a 5A Region IV District 28 contest on Friday, February 9. McCollum will meet a Bobcats team coming off a 78-55 league loss to Southwest (San Antonio, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 18-11.

The Cardinals (4-22) will now prepare for their contest against Medina Valley (Castroville, TX). The Panthers enter the 5A Region IV District 28 contest with a 10-21 record. In their last contest, Medina Valley ran past Southwest Legacy (Von Ormy, TX), 59-57, in a league contest.
