McKinney North Bulldogs (McKinney, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX), 62-58 in a league bout.

With the victory, McKinney North upgrades its record to 16-13 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Greenville (Greenville, TX) to play the Lions in a 5A Region II District 13 bout on Friday, February 9. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 12-12. Greenville won 58-52 in their recent league bout against Princeton (Princeton, TX)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) in a 5A Region II District 13 bout, on Friday, February 9. Melissa will attempt to upgrade on its 15-15 season record. The Leopards come into the bout with a 12-14 record after their 40-36 league loss to McKinney North (McKinney, TX).
