The Pineville Mountain Lions basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Middlesboro Yellowjackets to 59 in the Mountain Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mountain Lions now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Red Bird for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 8. Pineville will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 70-53 non-league win over Cordia (Hazard, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-12.

The Yellowjackets (7-13) will now prepare for their contest against Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA). The Pioneers enter the non-league contest with a 9-12 record. In their last contest, Thomas Walker was nudged by Hancock County (Sneedville, TN), 46-39, in a non-league contest.
