Permian Panthers (Odessa, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX), 61-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Permian upgrades its record to 21-9 on the season. The Panthers host Odessa (Odessa, TX) to clash with the Bronchos in a 6A Region I District 2 bout on Friday, February 9. The Bronchos go into the bout with a record of 7-24. Odessa lost 69-49 in their recent league bout against San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Midland Legacy Rebels (Midland, TX) in a 6A Region I District 2 bout, on Friday, February 9. Midland will attempt to upgrade on its 13-18 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 13-16 record after their 81-58 league loss to Frenship (Wolfforth, TX).
