In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Tug Valley Panthers (Williamson, WV) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV), by a count of 69-39.
The Panthers (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against Webster County (Upper Glade, WV). The Highlanders go into the non-league outing with a 15-1 record. In their last outing, Webster County smashed Braxton County (Sutton, WV), 92-46, in a league outing.
The Miners now hold a 5-11 record. They play next when they host Bluefield for a Coalfield AA outing on Saturday, February 10. Mingo Central will clash with a Beavers squad coming off a 68-49 league win over Mount View (Welch, WV). The Beavers record now stands at 11-4.
