North Carolina High School Basketball - Tuscola thwarted by Pisgah

February 6, 2024: Canton, NC 28716

The Tuscola Mountaineers basketball team (Waynesville, NC), was toppled 76-63 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC)

The Bears now possess a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Henderson for a 3A Mountain 7 battle on Friday, February 9. Pisgah will confront a Eagles team coming off a 50-47 league loss to North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 17-5.

The Mountaineers (1-17) will now prepare for their battle against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Mustangs come into the 3A Mountain 7 battle with a 4-18 record. In their last battle, Smoky Mountain was toppled by Franklin (Franklin, NC), 82-60, in a league battle.
