Texas High School Basketball - Samuell can't hold off Poteet

The Poteet Pirates basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Samuell Spartans to 53 in the Pirates league triumph on Tuesday.
The Pirates now sport a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Mesquite for a 5A Region II District 12 contest on Friday, February 9. Poteet will battle a Stallions team coming off a 64-18 league win over Spruce (Dallas, TX). The Stallions record now stands at 16-12.
The Spartans (19-8) will now prepare for their contest against Seagoville (Dallas, TX). The Dragons enter the 5A Region II District 12 contest with a 21-9 record. In their last contest, Seagoville nudged Conrad (Dallas, TX), 61-32, in a league contest.
