The Rapid River Rockets (Rapid River, MI) basketball knocked off the visiting Superior Central Cougars (Eben Junction, MI), 45-35 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Rockets (6-13) will now prepare for their test against Big Bay de Noc (Cooks, MI). The Black Bears go into the non-league test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, Big Bay de Noc went down by Nah Tah Wahsh (Wilson, MI), 55-45, in a league test.

The Cougars now own a 13-6 record. They play next when they host Forest Park for a Central Upper Peninsula test on Friday, February 9. Superior Central will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 78-36 league win over North Dickinson (Felch, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 14-2.
