Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC), 64-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Rosewood upgrades its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Eagles host Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC) to play the Cougars in a 1A Carolina bout on Friday, February 9. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 8-17. Neuse Charter won 61-42 in their recent league bout against Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC)

Next up, the Spartans play the North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC) in a 1A Carolina bout, on Friday, February 9. Union will attempt to upgrade on its 0-18 season record. The Rebels come into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 58-51 league win over Lakewood (Roseboro, NC).
