The Shakamak Lakers basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting White River Valley Wolverines to 64 in the Lakers league victory on Tuesday.

The Lakers now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Riverton Parke for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 10. Shakamak will battle a Panthers team coming off a 65-41 league loss to North Vermillion (Cayuga, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 3-15.

The Wolverines (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Springs Valley (French Lick, IN). The Blackhawks come into the non-league contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, Springs Valley was defeated by Paoli (Paoli, IN), 57-47, in a league contest.
