The West Lyon Wildcats basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Sibley-Ocheyedan Generals to 30 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 19-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Spirit Lake for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. West Lyon will meet a Indians team coming off a 61-57 non-league win over Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA). The Indians record now stands at 10-8.
The Generals (2-19) will now prepare for their contest against Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA). The Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 0-21 record. In their last contest, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was routed by South O'Brien (Paullina, IA), 65-7, in a league contest.
